We can sulk in resentment, which the Eternal never intended for us in this life or the next, or we can be partners with the Incorporeal in refining and improving this world and, in the process, ourselves, as our Partner on the other side works day by day to earn and renew our trust. In the process, in those moments when we are not obligated to fulfill universal or covenant-specific commandments regarding our neighbour, it is important to thank G-d for the little things, things as little as nourishments after being nourished, and to appreciate the Eternal for the little miracles that happen every day and that should not be taken for granted.Davenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142233491127585940.post-7614651380654620452013-09-02T21:11:24.680-07:002013-09-02T21:11:24.680-07:00Really enjoyed reading this!

If God can change the past why do we still remember it the way it was. Well it's because we experienced it that way. Even though you were made new from the beginning of time, you still experienced your old sinful past and remember it, however it doesn't mean that it still belongs to you or that it even still exists at all. The sin of it for sure will cease to exist as far as a christian is concerned once they go to Heaven. Your sinful past will be thrown into the fire, only what was done for Christ will remain.fiodaxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02436045359129457504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142233491127585940.post-9031453093580790272009-08-24T19:16:05.040-07:002009-08-24T19:16:05.040-07:00Maybe from now on you should put your soda "e...Maybe from now on you should put your soda "experiments" out in the garage to avoid further destruction of the house. It's what it says, we use that as the standard, and then measure reality by what it says. We don't measure the Bible by what we think we perceive reality to be. And yes this is objectively possible through the work of the Holy Spirit.

b) It nullifies the gospel. If we evolved and weren't created as the Bible says, then we never existed in a perfect state in the presence of God, as the Bible says. In other words if we evolved, then we didn't fall from grace. If we didn't fall from grace then we don't need a savior. If we don't need a savior then the Cross is pointless. If the Cross is pointless, then Christianity is a lie and should be resisted and fought against.

c) It not only makes God less awesome and powerful, but it makes him cruel. Because he slaughtered his son to forgive us of sin, and if we evolved then we can't be held accountable for our sin. Making the crucifixion of Christ just a gory display of a trite and mean super being. More of a cosmic bully than a loving God.

So the really smart people out there who want to latch on to evolution while still entertaining the idea of God really just have a problem with the authority of scripture. In other words they are not worshiping the God of the Bible, they are worshiping a god who is subject to the standards of reality set forth by man. A God bound by man's intellectual ability to perceive reality is really no god at all.fiodaxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02436045359129457504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-142233491127585940.post-44727945982800572722009-07-08T13:06:31.997-07:002009-07-08T13:06:31.997-07:00Humm...just because there seems to be more "e...Humm...just because there seems to be more "evidence" supporting evolution doesn't mean that that same evidence is trying to say "look at me! I'm part of this whole great process people call evolution and therefore I'm one more reason why people should believe there isn't a God"! Why couldn't God have created the process of evolution? That in no way makes him appear any less awesome or powerful. I know plently of educated Christian's who believe in evolution and in no way praise the Lord less. Yes, as Christian's we are called to live by faith, but if you really want to get into how the EARTH was created, there is a lot more evidence siding with Evolution than in the story in Genesis.Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07859021134473757847noreply@blogger.com
